Papa Mountain's win places it among just 40 winners selected from nearly 1,000 entries across 37 categories a distinction reserved for products the industry's own experts consider genuinely ahead of the curve.
UGA BEST IN BAKED GOODS
Best in Baked Goods is the top category honor within the Flavor of Georgia food product competition, awarded to the entry judges rank highest on Georgia connection, taste, innovation, and market potential among all baked-goods products entered. In 2026, that title went to Papa Mountain's Garlic and Herb Bread Rolls, standing out among 180 products entered across 12 categories in the UGA-hosted contest
UGA GRAND PRIZE
Grand Prize is the highest overall honor in the Flavor of Georgia food product competition, awarded to the single top-scoring entry across all categories statewide. In 2026, that title went to Papa Mountain's Garlic and Herb Bread Rolls, which topped 180 products entered across 12 categories in the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences-hosted contest, following the brand's Best in Baked Goods category win in the same competition.
EMERGING BRAND WINNER
The Nourishing Change Conference, co-hosted by Kroger Health and Hy-Vee, selects Emerging Brands from a competitive national field each year. From that group, seven total winners are named: three chosen by Hy-Vee, three chosen by Kroger, and one overall winner across both. In 2026, Papa Mountain was named one of Hy-Vee's three winners, earning retail placement for its grain-free cheese and vegan bread rolls in Hy-Vee stores.
